Biography: Jeremy Hope is a consultant specializing in management training and education. He regularly gives presentations on the topics discussed in this book. He was the lead author of
Transforming the Bottom Line, which has sold well in the United States and Europe and has been translated into Spanish and Italian. For several years he was a controller at 3i, the United Kingdom's largest venture capital business, where he handled a portfolio of investments and new business opportunities. Thereafter he became CFO of a distribution business based in London; joint founder and CEO of a computer services business; and, more recently, a consultant and an author. Mr. Hope is a chartered accountant and holds an M.A. degree in accounting and business finance from the University of Manchester.
Tony Hope is an international consultant, lecturer, and speaker as well as a visiting professor of accounting at INSTEAD. His speaking engagements and management consulting work have taken him to major companies worldwide, including Motorola, Hewlett-Packard, British Telecom, Nestle, and Cadbury-Schweppes. In addition, he holds seminars on performance measurement at Management Centre Europe. He is the author or editor of five books and many research publications. Professor Hope has taught at the University of Manchester and, as a visiting professor, at the Tulane University of Louisiana, the University of Arizona, the State University of New York, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Bradford Management Center, IMI (Geneva), and the Euroforum (Madrid). A chartered accountant, he holds postgraduate degrees from Liverpool University and the London School of Economics. He is coauthor (with Jeremy) of
